LIFE AS A TEEN
You are blindfolded and put on an airplane. You have no clue the whereabouts of your final destination; however, you know that it is out of the country. Suddenly, you wake up and find out you are in the Middle East and you have a private tour guide who is a teenager that lives there. What are 5 questions that you would ask him/her about this region of the world and write down what you think you would encounter on your two week stay. DUE WEDNESDAY, April 13th at midnight.

With the fact that I have been moved to a country that I do not know of, I will have cultural and natural shock once I find out where I am. Due to the different ways of life we all have internationally from one continent to another ,knowing the “middle-east” way of life will be essential for my survival as well as my mental growth.
ReplyDeleteFirst and foremost, they say you do not know where you are going, if you don’t know where you are from. Therefore I would ask my chaperone/tour guide to let me know as much history as he or she remembers about his or her country. It will not only be interesting for me to learn about their history but it is also relevant because by doing so I will understand why they do the things they do. It might seem weird seeing the things they do without knowing why they do them, therefore once I learn , I will be able to relate or understand why they do what they do.
Secondly with the situation (in terms of the war) in their country. I would find out how the citizens personally feel about the war and terrorism. This will be significant because usually the government operates differently from the way the citizens want it to operate. The officials usually live a comfortable life so they do not feel as much of effects as the citizens feel. During my visit I will most likely be a victim of fear and terror. However I strongly feel that moving away to a different situation will make me a better person. It is a fact that you do not know how good you have it until you lose it. Therefore not seeing the “good” lifestyle that I am currently having will make me appreciate it more when I come back to it.
Being point blank, these are the questions I will ask;
1. How does the war make you feel, if there was anything you would do about it what would it be?
2. If you were to be featured in a video to cry out for peace, what would you say?
3. If there was anything you would change about your country , what would it be?
4. How do you feel about education and lifestyle qualities in your country?
5. What would you do about the about the political situation in your country?
