FDA 2030

FDA 2030: The folk tales mentioned in Things Fall Apart are part of a tradition that passed on crucial values and lessons. If you could leave a message in a bottle to future generations of students teaching them vital lessons, what would they be? Or, what would you want them to know about 2010?

  1. There are ceartin things that i would want them to know about 2010. One thing that i want them to know about 2010 is the different technologhy we have. for example cell phones, computers, and ipods. They would try and figure out how those where use. Second thing i would want them to know about 2010 is how hard life is. For ceartian people it maybe easy. Everybody else it would be hard. Also how they lost jobs and homes because they didnt have any money. Some people got very upset. Third thing i would want them to know about 2010 is the different types of music we have. For example hip hop, r and b, reggae, pop, and rock. There might be different types of music during that time period. The fourth thing i woud want them to know about 2010 is the sports we have. Which where very hard to get into those leagues. Fifh hing that i would let them know about 2010 is how hard was it to buy hings you need. Which is mostly food water and clothes for yourself or kids.

  2. To be honest I am totally against bottling up memories.Lets take a critical look at humanbeings. At times people tend to suppress their feelings,as bad as this may sound i actually support this act.Not disclosing certain information (if possible any information) is one of my number one goals.

Trusting people is my number one problem. It is very hard for me to tell people things about myself. Some of you I open up to easily but believe it or not at times I tend to regret disclosing my information.Offcourse its not with all of that I regret doing. For me to tell you something about myself,I would put you to test first. In this test I search for maturity levels, confedentiality and characteristics.Probably you are wondering why I do such.Well its because a lot of times people have stabbed me in my back (when I least expect it) and people tend to use the information I tell them about myself against me.So in return of bottling things I prefer to forget things.

To finally get into this weeks topic I say, information should not be bottle instead it should be forgotten.People say,"We can not move forward unless we know our history." I totally disagree. The first people on earth did not know anything about any history but they still made through in life.No one was there to tell them about past life and definately THERE WAS NO BOTTLED LETTER FROM THE PRIOR TWENTY DECADES and they still lived life.As good as learning history sounds,I think it is harmfull.Looking in particular into OUR history as A BLACK PEOPLE there is a lot of distress and pain.Knowing that our ancestors were illtreated brings bad feelings and a burden to my heart. However if I did not know about these events, I would not feel the way I feel about white people (no offense to anyone out there).Furthermore current racism would not exist. If the white man was not taught from prior history to illtreat, abuse and missuse the black man,the world would be as bitter as it is today. My heart is bitter about slavery and I feel anger towards the white people but most of them don't even care. They continue living their lives. So forget things and set YOURSELF free TOO.

Further supporting my responce,I look at Tyshawn's responce. Most of his "bottled memories" are terrible. They will ony bring sadness to future generations. No one wants to here their great grand parents suffered and had a hard year facing some starvation and lack of jobs. And aas for the technology most people would not really care.Just as we do not use or care about the first cellphones, computers and even televisoins anymore the future generations would feel the same.

To close up I say,"NO NEWS, IS GOOD NEWS".
    GOD BLESS YOU EVERYBODY.

  3. First off I feel 2030 isn’t that far away when you think about it. So I personally would just share the good morals and lessons of today. It would probably be boring because I would mainly stress the sincere importance of education and politics. I this world ignorance is not a good thing, with out education you receive form being in school or the education you receive from the streets you are help less. When you try to learn as you go it is a lot harder then if you had things placed out and explained to you. They say “curiosity killed the cat” well the only to keep from being curios you must be more ordinary and apathetic. I have talked to a lot of people who never finished high school or college they say they regret it. These people are the ones working a crap job not able to support their family like they want to. That enough made me want to finish school because I just want to be successful. Now when it come to politics they say history repeats its self well as the future generation you must prove them wrong and keep are mistakes from effecting you. Are economy is slowly but surely becoming weak and suppressed. We are in a recession, people can’t find jobs, and apparently America is trillions of dollars in dept. We need another George Washington because his main focus was the advancement of the country he felt America should not interfere with the affairs of the world before dealing first with its self. I agree people are worried about what china is building what Europe is making what Afghanistan has. You need to mainly focus on your country and how will you help it and make it a little bit better for the generation of children coming after you. You need to learn adversity every one goes through it but they do it differently when you go through it you can’t leave things bad but strive to make things better. Not just for you but for every one. So to sum that up don’t let the past ruin your future.

  4. There are a lot of things happening in 2010 that is going to be different in the future. One of the things what these people should know what happened around 2010 is that people mostly around my age have some portable devices like cell phones, ipods, PSP, etc. One of them are cell phones that they could send text messages to. Some people text while they are driving. Sometimes as a result, they get into accidents. Congress passed a law where people can not text while they are driving. If they refuse to obey the law, they might get their car taken away or they would get arrested and go to jail. People that are in High school get their cell phones taken away be their teachers or principals because they text too much. In my past, people use beepers. For ipods, people listen to music. They got it straight off of various websites. Whether it could be hip hop, R&B, etc. Another thing people in the future should know about 2010 is that some teenage girls get pregnant at a very young age. Some teenage girls get pregnant at age 15. This is a wrong thing because when a girl gets pregnant around this age, they would not be able to school that often. They would have to stay home and take care of their baby. They might not be able to go to college. Some teenagers have a hard time taking care of their baby. They might give the baby up for adoption. Another thing people in the future should know about is the type of gang violence we had in neighborhoods. Everyday someone gets killed. That’s because of gang violence. They have guns and knives. People rob stores and banks to get money. Girls get rapped too on the streets. Some robbers steal things from people, little children get kidnapped and some people go missing for days. They have to report it to the police. Our current President in the United States in 2010 is Barack Obama. If I could leave a message in a bottle, I would tell these people in the future to not copy all the things the people in 2010. I would tell them to be careful about what they are doing. New technology might be used in the future.
