Dreams & Goals Make Futures

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." -Eleanor Roosevelt

What are some of your dreams and aspirations (hopes) in life? What do you want for yourself? What do you want for others? What would help make those dreams a reality? Step outside the box on this one; don't just write the usual stuff about wanting millions of dollars, being a celebrity, or things like that. What are some of the accomplishments you could strive for that would make a major mark, or even inspire future generations of young people?

For bonus credit, find a powerful quotation about dreams or goals and add it to your discussion.

  2. A wise person once said to me, “Everything that becomes a success begins with a dream; however it is what you do with the dream that makes you truly successful." This quote is very accurate because it is pointless for one to have dream big night after night and still fail to pursue their dreams at the end of the day. Furthermore just like every other possession, it is totally useless if you don't know how to use it.

I will start of by mentioning the hopes I have for other people. The mind is a very powerful weapon nevertheless as above mentioned; it is totally worthless if you don't know how to use it. In our very own school I see very intelligent students daily. The unfortunate thing about them is that they don't see the importance of education. Education is the foundation of almost everything. It is what will help us most as students and as adults in perusing our “legal” dreams. Therefore I hope and pray that an increase of kids being interested in school will somehow prevail itself. To help others i will do whatever is in my will and power to motivate them.

What I want for myself is a little controversial. On one hand I want to be a successful accountant and/or businessman. I want to be a great husband and father to my own family. To make these aspirations a reality I plan on graduating from high school then attending an Ivy League college. On the other hand, I plan not to make any plans for myself. I want to allow God to plan my life for me. At times I tend to make bad decision (just like everyone else). God is obviously wiser than we are, therefore if i allow him to plan my life for me it will definitely be a prosperous one. Furthermore God's will won't take me where his grace won't protect me.

George Bernard Shaw once said, “Some men see things as they are and say 'why'? Others dream things that never were and say 'why not'? So my word of advice to everyone out there, dream your dreams with open eyes and make them come true.

  7. I’m going to this week’s blog by saying you can make you dream a reality by working hard at what you doing don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do it, because most of the time when people start hating on others are the ones who that have the most hate in them because they see that person trying they come out their mouths by saying things like ‘’ you never do that’’ or ‘’ you mad lame’’ (etc) . The way I look at is like if you know in your heart that you can’t make your dreams a reality then you should bypass all the negativity and KEEP DOING YOU regardless of what other might think of you. If you want to become a rapper, basketball player, or even a actor that what you going to do that. So therefore this my advice to other people out there in the world especially those of my peers.
Far as me my dreams in life is to finish to my last two years of high school. After I finish high school my plans after that is to major in Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland. Then after that I’m going to go to law school ( don’t know where yet) . Them I’m going to become a defense attorney for the State of New York because I want to help get justice to people who were wrong accuse of a crime the person did not commit. Then after I found success as being a lawyer then I’m going to open a open a after-school program in my native neighborhood of Bushwick . I want to open up a after-school program because I want to give kids that coming up a opportunity to do thing that would benefit them. The main priority of this after-school program is to keep young kids off the streets from doing things that they going to regret.

Some of the thing im going to accomplish these goals is to works Hard and put every effort I have to accomplish my goals.

  8. What are some of your dreams and aspirations in life? What do you want for yourself? What do you want for others? What would help make those dreams a reality? My dreams and aspirations are to be a good father figure to my son. I want my son to grow up and when someone asks him who is your role model I want him to say me very proudly with no hesitation. What I want is to grow up I want to be a good father to my son and to do things for myself and don't have to depend or wait for nobody to do it for me. I want to take care of my father just as he took care of me when I grow up. I want my father to be able to say with confidence that I'm proud of my son he made it. What I want for other people is for them to realize you could get a free education you should take advantage of it. I want other people to go to school do what you have to do and go off to college and then start a family. What would make these dreams a reality is if I just go to school do what I got a do and finish. What would make these dreams a reality if I love and be there for Jordan Dayshawn Miller every step of the way no matters what happens. What would make these dreams a reality is when I make mistake or I see other people make mistake I have to learn from them and try not to make them same mistake. According to the blog where it says don't just write the usual stuff about wanting millions of dollars and wanting to be a celebrity that's what most people would say but it’s not about being rich or being a celebrity in order to be that you have to make it in life first. Some people just grow up thinking they can start a rich life it’s not that easy you have to work your way to get there. What if you grow up and your dream is to be a celebrity but you u doesn’t have a plan b for back up and everything doesn’t go as u plan. So, what I'm trying to say is you must have a back up plan to support you every step of the way

My dreams and aspiration in life is to become a successful person, scholar, doing good deeds, change my life, helping other, and be a bigger person. What I want for myself is to do good, make my family happy and proud, and finish school. What do I want for others is to support me, give some advice or understanding, talk to me about college and what should I do to make it into college, and be by my side for everything. My dreams and aspiration in life to see friend and letting them see that I have change my ways in life and see that I had accomplish. I don’t want to see my friends and family feel sad, cry, and everything because I already let that person feel that way to much time that make me feel I wasn’t doing right. There are some people that really care and love me and also want me to do well and do the right thing in life. Someone once said, “As I look back on all that happened...growing up, growing together, changing you, and changing me. There were times when we dreamed together, when we laugh and cried together. As I look back on those days, I realize how much I truly miss and love the people who care about me. The past is gone and whatever the future is holding its till coming. So, my lifetime family and friend, it is with all my heart that send me love and hope that will carry me smile with I’m with or without you.
